Md. Nurus Sakib is currently pursuing his graduate study at the Department of Chemical Engineering, PSU. He graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh. After graduation, he worked as a full-time lecturer at the University of Dhaka. Prior to joining PSU, he worked on biomaterial composite for contaminant removal from water. He envisions a sustainable and greener tomorrow.

Adam Smerigan is a 3rd year PhD student working on rare earth element (REE) recovery from phosphogypsum waste. He got his MS in biosystems engineering and his BS in chemical engineering at Michigan State University. Kevin (Kay) Glass 🇺🇸

Kay Glass is a Graduate Student in Prof. Rui Shi's lab in the department of Chemical Engineering at Penn State. Their work includes developing agile techno-economic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) of industrial biotech processes, and working with an industry partner to conduct LCA of meat alternative production. Kay Glass got their Masters and Undergraduate Degrees in Bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego, and previously did their research in systems biology. In their free time, they enjoy travel, food, and reading.
